Wir vom UNDERBRIDGE VEREIN sind sehr glücklich darüberdiese eben so bunte Veranstaltung wieder in Innsbruck passieren zu lassen.
Die Gruppenausstellung APLENNORDSEITIG beinhaltet die geografischeVerbindung der zwei Standorte Innsbruck und Hamburg.Welche die Heimatstädte aller ausgestellten Künstler*innen ist , die am 23.09.2022 19:00 im Openspace Innsbruck gezeigt werden.
Wie schon in den vorhergehenden Jahren wird der Schwerpunkt wieder auf URBAN ART gelegt.Vom 19-23.09.2022 findet die Umsetzung des Wandbildes an derRossbachstrasse 28 statt , zu der Zuschauer*innen herzlich eingeladen sind.Diese Fassade wird von Luogo Comune (it) , HNRX (aut) und Melanie Gandyra (ger) bemalt.

We are super happy to announce the 3rd Edition of our „Underbridge Project“ .
For this Years Edition we are coming back to Innsbruck to do a Wall at Kapuzinergasse 19.
From the 20-27.09.21 they will collaborate on a 20 Meter high Mural.
HNRX will paint together with MOTS from Portugal/Poland ( https://mots.pt/ ) on this beauty.

The first Street Art Festival of Salzburg took place from the 13th to the 15th of September 2019. It was the second festival from the association UNDERBRIDGE from Tirol (AT). The three club members intention is to bring graffiti, urban and street art into cities to create them more colorful, youth and creative.
The festivals name, UNDERBRIDGE, follows the first editions location which was under the highway of Innsbruck in 2018. The success and the positive feedback from the city of Innsbruck lead us doing a second edition! After sleepless nights and a large-scale searching we finally found Salzburg as a perfect location and partner for our project. With the financial support of the city and the association SUPER, which helped us with finding walls to paint, it was possible to create a three-day event with 6 professional artist from austria, denmark, france and germany.
The huge and complex walls have to be finished within 3 days, we couldn't effort to pay the cherrypicker-company for one day more! So time was literally money and the artist somehow worked their shit together and painted with liquids and spray cans until the moon stood tall. All together we used 194 liters of liquid paint and 200 spray cans (huge thank to loop colors for your generous sponsoring!).
On the first festival day the exhibition in the Altes Rathaus (old guildhall) was opened. It was a good way for the locals to meet the artists and to see their studio works. Because it was our request to incorporate the locals, we offered two graffiti workshops for kids and teenagers on Saturday and Sunday afternoon

Die Gruppenausstellung, welche von den fünf Künstlern gemeinsam kreiert wurde, war der Startschuss des UNDERBRIDGE FESTIVALS 2018. Unterschiedliche Werke - von Zeichnungen, über Drucke, bis hin zu Skulpturen und grossen Acrylbildern - zierten am Freitagabend den Open Space „styleconception“ in der Mentlgasse 12B. Für nur einen Abend sollte der Raum zugänglich sein. Wer nicht da war, hat’s verpasst.
Nun ja, nicht ganz. Am nächsten Morgen früh nämlich, Tag 2 des dreitägigen Street Art Festivals, packten die fünf die Gestaltung eines Autobahnpfeilers in Angriff. Jeder in bis zu 25 Meter Höhe auf einem von der Firma Felbermayer mitgesponserten Hubsteiger hatte nun Zeit, bis zum Sonnenuntergang am nächsten Abend mit seinem Pfeiler fertig zu werden. Die Zeit war kostbar. Pausen machten die Künstler kaum. Gelegenheiten, die fünf anzuquatschen, waren ebenfalls rar. Stattdessen wurde geschwitzt, konzentriert, gepinselt, gerollt, gesprayt - Hier geht der Dank an Synthesa, welche unsere 270 Liter Farbpalette mitfinanziert hat. Jeder, vertieft in seiner Arbeit, musste von der spätsommerlichen Sonne zum Trinken überredet werden. Der eine oder andere rote Kopf am Samstagabend und die +12-Stundenschicht konnten die Künstler nicht verbergen. Nach einer kurzen Nacht standen die drei am Sonntagmorgen nach Anbruch des Tages wieder auf ihrem Steiger, um ihr Bild zu beenden. Dennoch, die Stimmung unter der Autobahnbrücke war berührend. Viele Menschen haben sich das Spektakel nicht entgehen lassen und die international bekannten Künstler mit ihrem Interesse motiviert. Da liess sich doch noch der eine oder andere zu einem Fan-Autogramm überreden.
Wie die Werke der Ausstellung in der Galerie, so steht auch jede Wand der Künstler für sich. Bebar, aus Paris, besticht mit einem poppigen Konzept, welches sich stark am Graffiti-Jargon orientiert. Guido Zimmermann, aus Frankfurt, der alte Hase im Geschäft, bedient sich einem breiten Spektrum seines Könnens und erzählt mit seiner Wand Geschichten, abstrakt, fotorealistisch und collagenmässig zugleich. HNRX, der Local, bleibt seinem „Comicsurrealismus“ treu und zeigt dennoch eine Weiterentwicklung in Sache Farbwahl und Technik, so dass sein Werk zwar seinen alten Wandmalereien in Innsbruck entspricht, sich jedoch deutlich eine neue Ära in seiner Kunst abzeichnet. Auch Joachim, aus Antwerpen, bleibt figurativ - seine Mandl sind schon fast legendär - beweist jedoch ebenfalls eine neue Herangehensweise und hat sich kurzerhand dazu entschlossen, sein Farbkonzept umzustellen. Koctel, aus Madrid, vereint in seinem Bild China-Affinität und spanische Orangen, bunt, plakativ und voller guter Laune. Besucher*innen, die sich die fixfertigen Wände anschauen möchten, können dies nun in aller Ruhe tun.
Die fünf bemalten Pfeiler hinter dem Westbahnhof stehen für ein kunst- und kulturoffenes Innsbruck. Der grosse Dank geht deshalb insbesondere an die Stadt Innsbruck und an das Land Tirol, welche mit ihrem Sponsoring das Projekt überhaupt ermöglicht haben. Wir bedanken uns ebenso bei den Firmen Felbermayer und Synthesa für ihr grosszügiges mitfinanzieren, bei der ASFINAG, die zuständig für die Genehmigung der Fläche war, beim Allrounder Charly und seinem Open Space styleconception" und bei den vielen freiwilligen Helfer*innen.
The group exhibition, which was created by the five artists together, was the start of the UNDERBRIDGE festival 2018. Different Art-Works, like drawings, prints, sculptures, acrylic, and so on, decorated the open space „styleconception“ Gallery in Innsbruck, Mentlgasse 12B. The exhibition was just opened on this Friday evening.
On the next morning, the second day of the three-day-festival, the five artists began their big wall down on the highway pillar. Each one of them had just these two days to paint the wall. So time was limited and precious. There was actually no time for having a break or chatting with visitors. The five were sweating, concentrating and painting instead. Only the late summer sun could have stopped the artists from working through and forced them to drink some water… The red heads and the 12-hour-shifts were sings for their hard work. However, the atmosphere down under the bridge was beautiful. Many people visited the spot and motivated the internationally famose artists, so they all finished their murals on Sunday evening.
Like the art-works inside the gallery, also the walls are all different. Bebar (Paris) follows a graffiti-like concept. Guido Zimmermann (Frankfurt) works with diverse technics such as collage, abstract art and photorealism to tell a story with his wall. HNRX, our local, keeps his „comic surrealism“ alive but educates his usual style in a new direction with a different choose of color and technics. Joachim (Antwerp) stays also figurativ but tries out a new color concept. Koctel (Madrid) fusses china-love and Spanish oranges in his mural - colorful, striking and full of happiness. The finished walls are ready to be admired from visitors around the globe. So if you are in Innsbruck, take a look!
These five colored pillars are a statement for a art- and cultural friendly city. So the special thank goes to the City of Innsbruck and the Countryside Tirol, which generously sponsored the project. A big thank goes also to the companies Felbermayer and Synthesa, thank you for the co-financing of the cherry-picker and the 270 liters (!) of color. Thank you, ASFINAG, to approve the spot.
